We collect three different types of data

Personal data - this includes:

Your name, job role and workplace contact details. This enables you to sign up to the Services and link you to your organisation(s).


If you chose to supply it we will store your work-related interests and expertise. This is displayed on your profile so other users can learn about you.


We also collect information from and about the devices you use to access the Services. This includes things like IP addresses, the type of browser and device you use, and identifiers associated with your devices. Your devices (depending on their settings) may also transmit location information to the Services. This allows us to maintain vital security and audit logs.


We use cookies to provide, improve, and protect our Services. For example, cookies help us with things like remembering your username for your next visit, understanding how you are interacting with our Services, and improving them based on that information. You can set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Services.


Life QI will not require you to enter any sensitive personal data.

 

Content data

Sata added to Life QI when you populate a project, resource, or discussion thread (for example, project titles, SPC chart data, and uploaded documents)

 

Meta data

Data providing information about one or more aspects of the content, personal or service usage data. This may be held in two forms. Structural metadata is used to indicate how aspects such as projects are organised and how many elements exist within them. Administrative metadata is used to help manage the system or a resource or object within it, such as the list of organisations, when an object was created, usage data, access rights, and data counts.

 

How and why we use your information

We have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data. Doing so allows us to provide, improve and protect our Services. More specifically this allow us to:

  3.      > Facilitate your use of the platform

  4.      > Allow users to collaborate with you through the platform

How information is used by third parties

Life QI uses certain trusted third parties (for example, providers of data centres, email services and IT services) to help us provide, improve, protect, and promote our Services. These third parties will access your information only to perform tasks on our behalf in compliance with this Privacy Policy, and we'll remain responsible for their handling of your information per our instructions.

 

How you can review and make changes to your information

You can edit your personal data (including erasing or restricting our use of your personal data) on your profile page within the system. Requesting a copy of your information

You can request a copy of your information which we hold (this is known as a subject access request). If you would like a copy of some or all of it, please: Email, call or write to us using the details above; let us have proof of your identity and address (a copy of your driving licence or passport and a recent utility or credit card bill), and; let us know the information you want a copy of, including any account or reference numbers, if you have them.

 


Objection

You can object to our processing of your personal data by emailing, calling or writing to us using the details above.

 

Data retention

As a platform based on shared learning, we don't automatically remove your personal and content data if either you or your organisation ceases to use the system. Meta data will be retained for as long as the system continues to be in use.

 

However, you can request your personal data be removed at any time. To have content data removed, please contact us within 30 days of contract termination to arrange for your content data to be removed from the system: on our website.

 

Where data is stored

Life QI is currently available in many countries and in turn separate, isolated versions of Life QI exist in several secure data centres (hosted by Amazon Web Services) to allow for compliance with local laws and regulations.
